Combat Moisture and Water Vapor with Moxie 1800 Super-Admix
Moxie 1800 Super-Admix is a ready-to-use, non-toxic, clear, odorless, liquid admixture of specifically engineered and formulated compounds which stop moisture migration above and below grade.
Added to the batch mix in proper amount, Moxie 1800 Super-Admix initiates chemical reactions to create colloidal gels instead of the typical bleed water. At initial surface set the gel-like character of the concrete acts like a thermal barrier that restricts rapid evaporation of the surface water which prevents shrinkage and slab curl, thereby eliminates plastic cracks.
These colloidal gels also protect the reinforcing steel from internal corrosion (view examples here) and will form additional cementitious materials that provide further protection from externally caused corrosion.
After the concrete hydration process is complete, the colloidal gels react with remaining by-products to form cementitious materials. The process takes place prior to, during, as well as after the final stages of hydration producing the maximum increase in strength and decrease in permeability.

For use on existing concrete, these products penetrate into the concrete, sealing by reducing capillary voids, which eliminates water intrusion and inhibits corrosion (view examples here).
Moxie 1500 – Concrete SealerA non-toxic, penetrating, permanent concrete sealer/hardener specifically formulated to penetrate and seal concrete up to seven inches. Moxie 1500 Concrete Sealer undergoes a chemical reaction, which stops water vapor transmission (.015 WVT perms) and water migration up to 231 feet below grade (100 psi) and reduces capillary voids to practically zero.
